Anna (Simonds) Bourque worked for many years for the State of Connecticut in the income maintenance department. She was also an EMT for over a decade.

Anna was an avid gardener, who was particularly proud of her David Austin Roses. She was able to combine her love of gardening and cooking, regularly making meals from her own garden.
